5. Soda Can Mini Stove
For ultralight outdoor cooking, a soda can stove is compact, portable, and ideal for solo camping trips.
Materials Needed:
- Two empty soda cans
- Nail or small drill
- Alcohol fuel or small propane canister
- Metal mesh
Preparation and Assembly:
Clean the cans and cut one can to form the base. Punch small holes around the top edge for flames. Insert the second can inside to hold the fuel. Place a metal mesh on top to support small pots or pans.
Usage Tips:
Use only small amounts of alcohol fuel or a tiny propane burner. Keep away from wind, as the flames can be small and easily extinguished. This stove is perfect for heating water or small meals in lightweight camping setups.
