2. Clay Leaf Impressions

Leaf impressions capture nature’s beauty and make excellent wall art or coasters.

Materials Needed: Air dry clay, fresh leaves, rolling pin, knife, acrylic paint (optional), clear varnish.

Preparation and Steps:

  1. Roll out the clay to a 0.5 cm thickness.
  2. Press a leaf gently onto the clay to create an imprint. Remove the leaf carefully.
  3. Cut around the leaf shape using a knife.
  4. Let the clay dry for 24 hours.
  5. Once dry, you can paint the impression or leave it natural.
  6. Apply a clear varnish for durability if using as coasters.
